Churches are using 24' x 60' modular buildings as after school homework centers and day camp programs in California with much success. It seems as if many public schools have used modular classrooms that churches can buy at very affordable prices.
If you are searching for a modular church building to use on your campus try calling your local school district facility manager or purchasing department. Ask if they are selling any used modular classrooms - hopefully you will have some luck. Or you can give me a call at (800) 806-7485 for some assistance - I usually know where the best deals are in California.
Happy New Year!
Matt

Tip #1 for Buying a Used Modular Building
If you have plans to buy a used modular building or portable classroom be sure to follow the tip below, particularly if you are buying from a private owner.
Tip#1. Always have the used modular building inspected by a contractor first. Make sure the HVAC is in good working condition and that there is no major electrical, plumbing or structural damage to the frame, roofing, walls or flooring.

June - Best Month to Rent or Buy a Modular Classroom
If you are with a church or private school and need a portable classroom or modular office June is a very good month to shop. Many public schools throughout California, Florida, Texas, New York and other large U.S. markets get rid of existing modular structures to make space for either new replacements or because the space is no longer needed. This makes a buyer's market as suppliers don't want the used classrooms back in inventory and are willing to rent or sell for great prices. Sometimes you can buy direct from a school or church.
Just another tip from iModular.com......start shopping for space and ask about used modular classrooms.
